September Event Highlights at Deer Trail Assisted Living
September will be a busy month at Deer Trail Assisted Living! We will have our regularly scheduled light and lively exercise, seatworks exercise, Tai Chi Moving for Better Balance, games from bingo for bucks, brain teasers, craft projects plus the events listed below.

  • September 4 – Resident & Family Dinner Followed by Country Music by “Wyoming Raised”
  • September 7 – 12:00- Birthday Cake to Celebrate September’s Birthday’s
  • September 9 – Grandparents Day
  • September 12 – 6:30PM – Rich Kumo and his Accordion
  • September 10 – 14 – Assisted Living Week
  • September 14 – 2:30 – Music with Melodie
  • September 18 – 2:30 – Scarecrow and Snowman 2-Sided Decoration
  • September 19 – 6:30 – Getting to Know You Game and Frosting Cookies with Pilot Butte Young Women
  • September 26 – Johnny Appleseed Day – Staff Please Bring an Apple Treat of your choice for our Potluck Apple Table: 12:30 Johnny Appleseed Word Search, 12:45 Apple Treat Table, 2:30 Mosaic Apple Art
  • September 28 – 1:00 – Bus Ride across White Mountain on the Wild Horse Loop (ride 2)

Young at Heart Birthday Celebration for Seniors in Rock Springs
Location: Young at Heart Center
Address: 2400 Reagan Ave, Rock Springs, WY 82901 
The Young at Heart Center has proudly served the Rock Springs and Sweetwater County community since its founding in 1973. Originally designated to serve the community’s senior population, in 2009 with construction of our new facility, services and amenities were incorporated to address the needs of the entire community. Now, the Center offers programs and services for residents of all ages;  child day care, education outreach, senior meals, in-home health services, and public-use space for meetings and events. The second Friday of the month we celebrate seniors born in that month with a birthday cake and ice cream. This event is sponsored by Deer Trail Assisted Living. If you are a senior in the area come join the fun.

Sept 28 – 30, 2018
National High Stakes Barrel Racing
Location: Sweetwater Events Complex
Address: 3320 Yellowstone Road, Rock Springs, WY 82901
National High Stakes Barrel Racing will feature the 5D “Ethel Format”. Each contestant will make two long go runs. The averages of those two runs determine the division they will run in the short round. 80/20 payout. Entry fee goes toward the D ran in the short round. Consolation for anyone that hits a barrel. 50% payback for consolation round.

Young at Heart Center

The Young at Heart Center has proudly served the Rock Springs and Sweetwater County community since its founding in 1973. Golden Hour Senior Center
550 Uinta Dr, Green River, WY 82935
The Golden Hour Senior Center is open Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 4:00PM. They have many activities and exercise programs such as Zumba Gold, line dancing, Wii Bowling and pool tournaments, daily word searches and trivia. They also have a game room for puzzles, bingo, Bunco, poker, Pinochle, Mahjongg and others. Deer Trail Assisted Living offers a support group at the Center and on occassion we serve free cake and ice cream.
