July Event Highlights at Deer Trail Assisted Living
July will be a busy month at Deer Trail Assisted Living starting off with the special 4th of July Celebration. In July we will also have our regularly scheduled light and lively exercise, seatworks exercise, Tai Chi Moving for Better Balance, games from bingo for bucks, brain teasers, and craft projects.

  • July 4th – 4th of July Picnic Followed by a Patriotic Sing Along
  • July 5th – Walmart Shopping
  • July 10th – Load the bus at 6:45 for Irish & Scottish Music by the “Kilted Man” at White Mountain Library
  • July 11 – Load Bus at 5:30 for Picnic and Concert in the Park “EIO Band”
  • July 12 – Load Bus for Farmers Market & Entertainment “Wyoming Raised”. Buy your own meal at your choice of food vendors
  • July 14 – Candidate Meet & Greet in Chamber Park from 4PM to 7PM
  • July 17 – Come Chill Out at the Penguin Party in the Courtyard at 2PM
  • July 18 – Load Bus at 6PM for Trip to Expedition Island
  • July 19 – Load Bus at 4:30PM for Farmers Market & Entertainment “Samantha Boren”. Buy your own meal at your choice of food vendors
  • July 20 – Head Over to YAH at 10AM for a Picnic and Live Music – Tickets $4.00 each
  • July 27 – Visits Outside by Front Entrance at 10AM with Ponies “Buttercup and Friends”

Young at Heart Birthday Celebration for Seniors in Rock Springs
Location: Young at Heart Center

The Young at Heart Center has proudly served the Rock Springs and Sweetwater County community since its founding in 1973. Originally designated to serve the community’s senior population, in 2009 with construction of our new facility, services and amenities were incorporated to address the needs of the entire community. Now, the Center offers programs and services for residents of all ages;  child day care, education outreach, senior meals, in-home health services, and public-use space for meetings and events. The second Friday of the month we celebrate seniors born in that month with a birthday cake and ice cream. This event is sponsored by Deer Trail Assisted Living. If you are a senior in the area come join the fun.

Cheyenne Frontier Days

Cheyenne Frontier Days celebrates Wyoming’s western roots. At this event, everyone comes for a different reason but leaves a modern cowboy. From the the large western festival to Championship Bull Riding, this is an unforgettable event you are not soon to forget.

Wyoming Big Show

When Wyoming wants to kick up its heels, it does it during The Big Show at the Sweetwater Events Complex. Each summer, Wyoming’s Big Show draws folks from hundreds of miles to Sweetwater County. The Big Show delivers on fun with family-friendly carnival rides, a wide variety of delicious dining options, evening concerts and 4-H and livestock exhibits.

Young at Heart Center

Golden Hour Senior Center
550 Uinta Dr, Green River, WY 82935
The Golden Hour Senior Center is open Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 4:00PM. They have many activities and exercise programs such as Zumba Gold, line dancing, Wii Bowling and pool tournaments, daily word searches and trivia. They also have a game room for puzzles, bingo, Bunco, poker, Pinochle, Mahjongg and others. Deer Trail Assisted Living offers a support group at the Center and on occassion we serve free cake and ice cream.
